It is lovely! It's a recipe from a Roald Dahl cookbook and my (now) 7 year old insisted on it as a birthday cake. The berries are raspberries. "Autumn Raspberries" as we call them thes were ripe early as the roots creeped into the glasshouse and made new bushes. If I have enough, I'll make jam, mostly.
What berries are those in your first picture? They look so good! Your pot of wool took me a minute to figure what you were "cooking" :-) love the color! Thanks for sharing.
These are raspberries; either "Autumn bliss"or "Fall gold", I'm not sure. We got these from my sister in law about 10 years ago. They spread everywhere and this year we had loads and loads of raspberries.
Oh that chocolate cake looks wonderful! I love wineberries too! Do you have enough to collect and keep them for winter?
